More About This Fabric
Say hello to Painted Posy – a gloriously colourful French Terry bursting with bold, painterly blooms. This fabulous print has the feel of an artist’s canvas, with oversized flowers and expressive brushstrokes layered together in a joyful mix of hot pink, coral, crisp white, turquoise, leafy green, lime and flashes of orange and purple.
It’s bright, energetic and just a little bit unexpected – exactly the sort of print that makes a simple garment feel really special.
As a French Terry, it has a smooth knitted face with the characteristic soft looped back, making it comfortable and easy to wear while still having enough body for your favourite casual makes. It’s ideal for sweatshirts, hoodies, relaxed tops, sweater dresses, joggers and other cosy stretch-fabric projects.
With a print this fabulous, you really can let the fabric do all the talking.

Sewing Notes
Recommended Needle:
Ballpoint / Jersey needle 75/11–80/12.
Take a little extra time when cutting so the horizontal stripes line up across adjoining pattern pieces. Cutting pieces in a single layer can make stripe matching easier.
Use a stretch, jersey or ballpoint needle to avoid damaging the knitted fibres.
A stretch stitch, narrow zigzag or overlocker can be used for construction.
Avoid stretching the fabric as you sew, particularly along necklines and hems.
French terry can curl slightly at cut edges, so pattern weights or clips can be useful when cutting and assembling.
Press using a low to medium heat and avoid pressing heavily into the fabric.
