Sometimes the simplest fabrics make the loveliest garments, and this beautiful fine stripe from Fibre Mood is a perfect example!Featuring a soft cream background with delicate, evenly spaced pinstripes, this fabric has a wonderfully classic feel. The subtle design adds just enough interest without being overpowering, making it a lovely choice for both everyday dressing and smarter wardrobe pieces.
Woven from a blend of 58% polyester and 42% bamboo, this medium-weight 200gsm fabric is wonderfully versatile. It's ideal for tailored trousers, relaxed shirts, skirts and dresses, with a neutral colour palette that works beautifully alongside so many other shades.
Whether you're planning a coordinated two-piece outfit or a simple wardrobe staple, this is a fabric with plenty of possibilities.

This Fabric Is Perfect For...
Tailored or relaxed trousers, wide-leg trousers, shirts, blouses, shirt dresses, simple dresses, skirts and coordinated separates.Sewing Notes
Cutting: Take care to keep the fine stripes straight when laying out your pattern pieces.
Pattern Matching: Consider matching the stripes at side seams, centre fronts and pockets for a beautifully finished garment.
Stitching: A standard straight stitch of approximately 2.5mm should work well. Test on a scrap first.
Seam Finishing: Finish raw edges with an overlocker or zigzag stitch to help prevent fraying.
Pressing: Fibre Mood advises against ironing this fabric, so avoid heat pressing and gently finger-press seams where possible.
Top Tip: If making trousers or a skirt, consider testing the fabric's opacity first to see whether lining would be beneficial.

Our fabrics are available to purchase by the home dressmaker for home use.
We do not test our fabrics for flammability. Please refer to the fabric composition in each listing for fibre content.
Please keep all fabrics away from open flames.
We do not advise using our fabrics in clothing with high risk requirements such as children’s clothes,uniforms, dancewear, sportswear, upholstery etc.
In general fabric may pose a strangulating, entanglement or suffocation risk, especially to children and vulnerable adults. Always keep out of reach of children and vulnerable adults.
