More About This Fabric
Meet Autumn Zig Zag — a fabulous geometric viscose packed with colour, movement and detail. The design is made up of tightly layered zigzags in a gorgeous mix of plum, aubergine, berry, burnt orange, rust, ochre and warm caramel, interspersed with occasional flashes of deep teal and almost-black.
Look closely and you'll see lots of incredibly fine lines within each chevron, giving the print an almost woven or tapestry-like appearance. From a distance, all those individual colours blend together beautifully, creating a rich, warm design that feels perfect for autumn and winter sewing.
Printed on soft and fluid viscose, the fabric has the lovely movement and drape we associate with viscose, making it especially good for garments where you want the fabric to move around the body.
We can see Autumn Zig Zag made into a swishy midi dress, flowing blouse, skirt or fabulous pair of wide-leg trousers. The strong geometric pattern would also be great for playing with print direction on yokes, cuffs or other smaller details.
Colourful without being overly bright and packed with gorgeous warm tones, this is one you'll be able to pair with so many autumn wardrobe favourites.

Sewing Notes
Recommended Needle:
Microtex 70/10 or fine Universal needle.
Cutting: Viscose can shift, so cut on a large flat surface and use plenty of pattern weights or fine pins.
Staystitch: Staystitch necklines and other curved or bias-cut edges to help prevent stretching.
Seams: Finish raw edges with an overlocker, narrow zigzag or your preferred seam finish.
Pressing: Use a moderate iron temperature and press rather than dragging the iron across the fabric.
Handling: Take care not to stretch the fabric while sewing and allow the machine to feed it naturally.
