More About This Fabric
Daisy Picnic combines a classic little check with the prettiest embroidered floral detail.The base features a neat 5mm square check, giving the fabric a timeless, slightly vintage feel, while tiny embroidered daisies are scattered across the surface for an extra pop of colour and texture.
Made from a cotton-viscose blend, it brings together the breathability and easy wear of cotton with the softer handle and drape of viscose. It has enough structure to show off the check beautifully while still feeling soft and comfortable for garments.
The embroidery makes this fabric feel that little bit more special without becoming overly fussy — lovely for simple patterns where the fabric can do all the talking.

Sewing Notes
Recommended Needle:
Prym Sewing Machine Needles Sys. 130/705 Standard 70-90
Because of the embroidered daisies, press from the wrong side where possible and use a pressing cloth over the embroidery to help protect the threads.
A fine universal needle, around 70/10 or 80/12, should work well for this cotton-viscose blend.
When cutting, take a little extra time to keep the 5mm check running straight and consider pattern matching at prominent seams, pockets or centre fronts.
The embroidered motifs may occasionally fall across a seam line. Where possible, you can move your pattern piece slightly to avoid cutting directly through a daisy, although with the scattered design this isn't essential.
Finish your raw edges with an overlocker or zigzag stitch to keep everything neat.
