If you're dreaming of a wonderfully cosy winter make, this gorgeous faux sheepskin fabric from Fibre Mood could be just the thing!Featuring a beautifully textured, curly surface that recreates the look of traditional sheepskin, this fabric has a soft, plush appearance and a lovely earthy olive green colour. The rich texture adds plenty of character, making it perfect for garments that are both cosy and stylish.
Made from 100% polyester with a knitted construction, this substantial 370gsm fabric is ideal for creating warm jackets, oversized coats and snuggly gilets.
Imagine a gorgeous teddy jacket with oversized pockets, a simple collarless coat or a cosy gilet layered over your favourite knitwear. It would also be fabulous for adding a fluffy collar or cuffs to another sewing project.
The versatile olive shade works beautifully with creams, chocolate browns, denim and other earthy colours.
OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified, meaning it has been tested for harmful substances.
This Fabric Is Perfect For...
Teddy jackets, oversized coats, cosy gilets, collarless jackets, warm layering pieces, scarves, fluffy collars, cuffs and winter accessories.Sewing Notes
Cutting: Use sharp dressmaking scissors or a rotary cutter. Cut in a single layer if the fabric is particularly bulky.
Nap: Check the direction of the curly pile before cutting and keep all pattern pieces running in the same direction.
Stitching: A slightly longer stitch length of approximately 3mm may work well. If the fabric has stretch, test a narrow zigzag or suitable stretch stitch.
Seam Finishing: An overlocker can give a neat finish and help contain loose fibres along the cut edges.
Pressing: Do not iron, as heat and pressure can flatten or damage the lovely curly texture.
Top Tip: Use a blunt needle or a small brush to gently release any fibres caught in the seams after stitching. Keep a vacuum cleaner handy when cutting, as fluffy fabrics can shed fibres along the raw edges!

We do not test our fabrics for flammability. Please refer to the fabric composition in each listing for fibre content.

We do not advise using our fabrics in clothing with high risk requirements such as children’s clothes,uniforms, dancewear, sportswear, upholstery etc.
In general fabric may pose a strangulating, entanglement or suffocation risk, especially to children and vulnerable adults. Always keep out of reach of children and vulnerable adults.
