More About This Fabric
Loom Stitch is a beautifully detailed yarn-dyed cotton with a refined linear design woven directly into the fabric.Fine broken lines run through the cloth, punctuated by tiny geometric motifs that give the surface an almost hand-stitched appearance. The pattern is subtle from a distance, but up close you can really see the woven detail and texture that makes this fabric so special.
Because the design is created through the weave rather than printed onto the surface, the fabric has a lovely depth and handcrafted quality. The clean vertical layout keeps it easy to wear, while the small-scale detailing adds just enough interest to make it feel different from a plain stripe.

Sewing Notes
Recommended Needle:
Prym Sewing Machine Needles Sys. 130/705 Standard 70-90
Use a Universal needle, size 70/10 or 80/12, depending on the weight of the fabric. A stitch length of around 2.5 mm should work well.
Because the check is woven into the fabric, take a little extra time with pattern placement and matching before cutting, particularly at centre fronts, side seams, pockets and yokes. You may want to allow a little extra fabric if precise check matching is important to your project.
Finish raw edges with an overlocker, zigzag stitch or another suitable seam finish to help prevent fraying.
Press seams as you sew, using a medium heat and steam if appropriate, but avoid over-pressing the textured woven detail.
