The Maite sewing pattern includes two variations: a chic tunic, and an elegant maxi dress. Both feature raglan sleeves, a straight cut, and a delicate belt at the waist. The tunic has an O-neck, fastening with ties, straight ¾-length sleeves, and side slits. The dress comes with a V-neck, long puff sleeves, smart side pockets, and fastening with shank buttons.

MATERIALS & SUPPLIES

Tunic

  • Fusible interfacing, 95 cm (1 yd)

Dress

  • Fusible interfacing, 160 cm (1 3/4" yd)

  • Small (8–10 mm/ 3/8”) shank buttons, 11 pcs

  • (Narrow ribbon for button loops, 70 cm/28”)*

* Use a premade ribbon for the button loops, or make one from your fabric.

FABRIC RECOMMENDATIONS

For both variations, choose a lightweight, non-stretch, and fairly drapey fabric. Good options include, for example: viscose challis and crepe, cotton lawn, or washed linen.
