Our Organic Soft Sweatshirting is a beautifully comfortable fabric with a soft, smooth handle and just the right amount of body for relaxed everyday sewing.
It has the cosy feel you want from a sweatshirt fabric without feeling overly bulky, making it a really versatile choice for wardrobe staples such as sweatshirts, hoodies, joggers, lounge sets and casual dresses.
The plain colour palette makes it perfect for easy-to-wear basics, colour blocking and mixing with printed jerseys or coordinating ribbing. Soft against the skin and straightforward to sew, it’s a lovely fabric to keep reaching for throughout the year.

Care Instructions

Machine wash at 30 degrees, Do not bleach , Iron on low heat . Do not tumble dry , Dry flat.

Sewing Notes

Recommended Needle:
ballpoint or stretch needle, 75/11 or 80/12

Prewash first: Wash before cutting to allow for any shrinkage.
Needle: Use a ballpoint or stretch needle, 75/11 or 80/12.
Thread: Use Gütermann Maraflex thread with a straight stitch for flexible seams.
Avoid stretching: Let the fabric feed naturally through the machine.
Finishings: Ribbing works beautifully for cuffs, neckbands and waistbands.
Press gently: Use a medium heat and avoid over-pressing the fabric.
