More About This Fabric
Dream – Blue by Kaffe Fassett is a wonderfully colourful floral cotton lawn with a bold, painterly feel. The design features an assortment of large stylised flowers, including daisy-like blooms, chrysanthemums and softly layered petals, scattered across a richly patterned blue background. The floral shapes are worked in shades of cobalt, aqua, turquoise, cornflower blue, pink and mustard, with leafy details adding further depth to the print.
The contrast between the cool blue base and the warmer pink and ochre tones gives the fabric plenty of vibrancy without overwhelming the design. It feels joyful, artistic and unmistakably Kaffe Fassett.
Printed on lightweight cotton lawn, the fabric is smooth, soft and comfortable to wear, with enough body to sew easily while still giving garments a light and graceful drape.
This Fabric Is Perfect For...
Dresses, blouses and shirts, summer tops, gathered skirts, tiered dresses, lightweight trousers or shorts, pyjamas, statement linings and accessories.I think shirt dresses, softly gathered dresses and blouses with interesting sleeve details would look particularly beautiful in this one.

Sewing Notes
Recommended Needle:
Microtex needle
Pre-wash your fabric before cutting, using the same method you intend to use for the finished garment.
Use a fine universal or Microtex needle, approximately size 70/10, together with a good-quality all-purpose polyester thread.
Because this lawn is lightweight, fine pins or sewing clips will help avoid marking the fabric. A standard straight stitch of around 2–2.5 mm works well.
Lightweight interfacing is recommended for areas such as collars, cuffs, button bands and facings.
The detailed, multi-directional print is relatively forgiving when cutting and makes pattern matching less important than it would be with a strong stripe or large directional motif.
Finish seams with an overlocker, zigzag stitch or French seams for a particularly neat finish on lightweight garments.
