Made from 100% polyester, this medium-weight fabric weighs 220–240gsm and has a waterproof finish, making it a practical choice for outerwear.

The classic quilting gives this fabric plenty of character without being overpowering, making it perfect for both simple and more detailed sewing projects.

This Fabric Is Perfect For...
Quilted jackets, oversized jackets, cosy gilets, bodywarmers, lightweight coats, children's outerwear, tote bags and accessories.Sewing Notes
Cutting: Use sharp scissors or a rotary cutter to cut cleanly through the quilted layers.
Pattern Placement: Keep the horizontal quilting lines level and consider matching them across seams for a neat finish.
Stitching: A slightly longer stitch length of approximately 3mm can help achieve even stitching through the padded layers.
Seam Finishing: Consider binding exposed seams or adding a lining for a beautifully neat interior.
Pressing: Do not iron. Finger-press seams and use topstitching where appropriate to help them lie flat.
Pinning: Use sewing clips where possible to avoid unnecessary holes in the waterproof finish.
Top Tip: Although the fabric is described as waterproof, stitching creates holes that can allow water through. If making rainwear, consider sealing the seams with a suitable seam-sealing product.

We do not test our fabrics for flammability. Please refer to the fabric composition in each listing for fibre content.
