More About This Fabric
Midnight Tropics is a striking stretch viscose filled with beautifully detailed tropical foliage, sweeping leaves and exotic floral motifs.The monochrome combination of deep black and soft cream gives the print a dramatic, graphic quality while still feeling elegant and very wearable. There’s plenty of detail within the design, but the limited colour palette keeps it sophisticated rather than overwhelming.
With 3% spandex, the fabric has a gentle amount of stretch alongside the soft, fluid drape of viscose, giving garments a little extra ease and comfort while allowing them to move beautifully.

Sewing Notes
Recommended Needle:
Microtex 70/10 or fine Universal needle.
Cutting: Viscose can shift, so cut on a large flat surface and use plenty of pattern weights or fine pins.
Staystitch: Staystitch necklines and other curved or bias-cut edges to help prevent stretching.
Seams: Finish raw edges with an overlocker, narrow zigzag or your preferred seam finish.
Pressing: Use a moderate iron temperature and press rather than dragging the iron across the fabric.
Handling: Take care not to stretch the fabric while sewing and allow the machine to feed it naturally.
