More About This Fabric
Sunset Bloom Viscose Jersey is a striking floral knit with a lovely soft handle and fluid drape. The print features larger painterly flowers in glowing shades of coral, peach, warm pink and soft apricot, scattered across a black base with touches of fresh green foliage. The contrast between the dark background and the warm floral tones gives this fabric a bold yet wearable feel.
Viscose jersey is always a popular choice for garments that need softness and movement, and this one would be especially lovely for styles that let the fabric flow. It feels cool and comfortable to wear, with enough stretch for everyday comfort, while the larger floral design gives garments real impact.
If you love an easy-to-wear statement print, this is a gorgeous option for creating pieces that feel bright, feminine and effortless.

Sewing Notes
Recommended Needle:
ballpoint or stretch needle, ideally a 75/11 or 80/12.
Pre-wash before cutting, as viscose fabrics can shrink on their first wash. When cutting, make sure the fabric is well supported and not hanging off the edge of your table, as this can distort the shape.
Use a ballpoint or stretch needle, ideally a 75/11 or 80/12. Sew with a stretch stitch, narrow zigzag or overlocker so your seams retain their stretch.
For sewing on a regular machine, Gutermann Maraflex thread is a great option. It is designed to stretch with the fabric, allowing you to sew stretch seams with a straight stitch while still giving the seam flexibility.
Take care not to stretch the fabric as you sew, particularly around necklines and hems. Stabilising the shoulder seams with clear elastic or seam tape can help prevent them from stretching out over time.
For hems, a twin needle gives a neat, professional finish while still allowing the fabric to stretch.
