A Note About Product/fabric Colours

We photograph almost all of our fabrics and products ourselves and take great care to represent their colours as accurately as possible.

However, colours may appear slightly different in real life due to lighting, photography and variations in individual screen and monitor settings. For this reason, we cannot guarantee an exact colour match.

We kindly ask that you keep this in mind before placing your order. If an exact shade is essential to your project, or you're unsure about a colour shown in our photographs, we recommend contacting us before purchasing.

Please note that slight colour variations between our photographs and the actual product are not considered faults and are not, on their own, grounds for a refund.

Sewing Notes

Needle: A Microtex needle, size 80/12 or 90/14, is a good starting point. Test on a scrap first.

Cutting: Use sharp dressmaking scissors or a rotary cutter and pattern weights to keep the fabric in place.

Pinning: Use sewing clips wherever possible, as pins may leave permanent holes in the leather-look surface.

Stitching: A slightly longer stitch length of approximately 3mm can help achieve a neat, even finish.

Presser Foot: A Teflon or non-stick presser foot can help prevent the surface from sticking as you sew.

Seam Finishing: Check the backing before deciding on your seam finish. Depending on the construction, raw edges may need finishing with an overlocker or zigzag stitch.

Pressing: Do not iron. Finger-press seams and use topstitching where appropriate to help keep them flat.

Top Tip: Avoid unnecessary unpicking, as needle holes may remain visible. Take a little extra time to check the fit of your garment before sewing.
