Gertrude Gilet PDF digital download sewing pattern by Sewgirl to make a snug little essential item for your wardrobe.

This is a perfect body warmer, either a button up v-neck gilet or a round neck Tabard top, great for wearing over t-shirts and layering under jackets for extra cosiness. This is the perfect garment for in-between seasons when you aren't too sure whether to wrap up or keep cool.

The pattern size range incudes all sizes from UK 8-24 (US 6-22).

Skill level: Easy some previous experience attaching binding and making buttonholes is an advantage although not essential.

Gertrude Gilet is suitable to be made up in cuddly knitted Boucle or 'Poodle' fabrics, Teddy Sherpa fleece or Curly sheep fabrics*, alternatively woven fabrics are also suitable with or without a lining. If using a woven fabric aim for a slightly heavier weight and a double sided fabric is preferable. I recommend using bought binding when using woven fabric, with stretch fabrics its best to use self-made binding cut across the horizontal width of the fabric. All instructions are included in the pattern.

* a walking foot machine attachment may be required when using thicker pile fabrics. 

Please note that all instructions are in English only with metric and imperial measurements. 

PRINTING:

INSTRUCTIONS: The step by step, easy to follow, illustrated booklet, can be downloaded and viewed on any devise to save on printing or it can be printed on A4 paper settings.

TEMPLATES can be printed in black and white, at 100% SCALE A4 size paper on any home printer. NB. please print the test square on page 1 and check the size first before printing the whole pattern. Pages are easily assembled and stuck together to make a full-size template (Pritt glue sticks and a guillotine are useful). This pattern consists of A4 pages.

Large format files can be downloaded and printed at a copy shop. This pattern consists of one A0 and one A1 pages.
