More About This Fabric
This beautiful Atelier Jupe viscose features a striking tropical-inspired print filled with elegant birds, flowers and leafy foliage.Set against a deep black background, the design combines vibrant fuchsia pink, teal, cobalt blue and soft cream to create a rich, jewel-toned palette. Long-legged birds and smaller exotic birds are scattered amongst bold leaves and floral clusters, giving the print plenty of movement and visual interest without feeling overly busy.
The dark ground keeps the design sophisticated and wearable, while the brighter colours add a lovely pop of personality.
Soft, fluid and beautifully drapey, this viscose is perfect for garments that benefit from movement, including dresses, blouses, shirts, skirts and wide-leg trousers. It would look especially striking in a midi dress or statement blouse where the scale of the print can really shine.

Sewing Notes
Recommended Needle:
Microtex 70/10
Pre-wash before cutting and allow the fabric to relax and dry fully. When cutting, use plenty of pattern weights or fine pins and avoid lifting or stretching the fabric as you work.
A Microtex or Universal needle in size 70/10 is ideal. Use a standard straight stitch of around 2–2.5 mm.
Stay-stitch curved areas such as necklines to help prevent them from stretching, and handle bias-cut edges carefully.
Finish raw edges with an overlocker or zigzag stitch, as viscose can fray. Press gently using a low to medium heat and avoid pulling or stretching the fabric while pressing.
