More About This Fabric
Animal print, but with a colourful twist.Purple Prowl features bold leopard-style markings in a rich, inky purple scattered across a warm natural background. The irregular spots give it that unmistakable animal-print feel, while the unexpected purple colour makes it feel fresh, playful and a little different from a traditional leopard.
Printed on a beautifully soft viscose twill, the fabric has a fluid drape with a little more body than a standard viscose lawn or challis. The subtle twill weave gives the surface a lovely finish and helps the fabric hang beautifully.
Perfect for everything from a simple blouse to a swishy dress or pair of relaxed trousers, Purple Prowl is an easy way to add a little animal print to your wardrobe without reaching for the usual browns and blacks.
This Fabric Is Perfect For...
Perfect for dresses, blouses, shirts, skirts, wide-leg and relaxed trousers, jumpsuits and co-ords.Viscose twill has beautiful fluidity and movement while generally having a little more body than very lightweight viscose, making it particularly lovely for garments where you want drape without the fabric feeling too floaty.
Think swishy midi dresses, relaxed button-up shirts, bias-cut skirts, softly tailored trousers and easy jumpsuits.

Sewing Notes
Recommended Needle:
Microtex 60-80
Use a fine, sharp needle — around 70/10 or 80/12 — and a good-quality polyester thread.
Fine pins or sewing clips are ideal, and a walking foot can be helpful if you find the layers moving against one another while sewing.
Staystitch curved or bias-cut areas such as necklines and armholes soon after cutting to help prevent them from stretching out of shape.
Because viscose can grow slightly once hanging, it's a good idea to allow skirts and dresses to hang before hemming, particularly with full, flared or bias-cut styles.
Finish your seams with an overlocker, zigzag stitch or your preferred enclosed seam finish for a neat result.
