More About This Fabric
Millefiore – Red by Kaffe Fassett is a striking cotton lawn packed with intricate floral and circular motifs in a warm, vibrant colour palette.Large mandala-style medallions sit alongside smaller flowers, spirals and abstract botanical shapes, creating a layered, mosaic-like effect across the fabric. Rich red, coral and orange tones dominate the design, with contrasting touches of teal, green, pink, lilac and yellow adding depth and energy.
The mix of different scales gives the print plenty of movement, while the repeating circular forms keep the overall design beautifully balanced. It has that unmistakable Kaffe Fassett look — bold, artistic and full of colour.
Printed on lightweight cotton lawn, the fabric has a smooth, soft handle with a gentle drape and enough stability to make it easy to sew. It is a wonderful choice for statement garments where you want both colour and detail to take centre stage.
This Fabric Is Perfect For...
Dresses, blouses and shirts, summer tops, gathered skirts, tiered dresses, lightweight trousers or shorts, pyjamas, statement linings and accessories.I think shirt dresses, softly gathered dresses and blouses with interesting sleeve details would look particularly beautiful in this one.

Sewing Notes
Recommended Needle:
Microtex needle
Pre-wash your fabric before cutting, using the same method you intend to use for the finished garment.
Use a fine universal or Microtex needle, approximately size 70/10, together with a good-quality all-purpose polyester thread.
Because this lawn is lightweight, fine pins or sewing clips will help avoid marking the fabric. A standard straight stitch of around 2–2.5 mm works well.
Lightweight interfacing is recommended for areas such as collars, cuffs, button bands and facings.
The detailed, multi-directional print is relatively forgiving when cutting and makes pattern matching less important than it would be with a strong stripe or large directional motif.
Finish seams with an overlocker, zigzag stitch or French seams for a particularly neat finish on lightweight garments.
