More About This Fabric
Wild Blur takes a classic animal print and gives it a beautifully modern, painterly twist.Against a softly blended background of raspberry, berry and smoky plum, irregular black markings flow across the fabric with wonderfully blurred edges. There are subtle flashes of warmer coral and rust within the print too, adding extra depth and giving the colours an almost watercolour effect.
This is a stretch woven viscose, combining the softness and fluid drape of viscose with that little bit of extra stretch that makes a garment wonderfully comfortable to wear. It has lovely movement while still retaining enough substance for a wide variety of dressmaking projects.
Bold without feeling too traditional, Wild Blur would look fabulous made into a simple dress, relaxed trousers or a striking co-ord where the abstract print can really take centre stage.
This Fabric Is Perfect For...
Dresses, jumpsuits, blouses, shirts, skirts, wide-leg trousers, tapered trousers and relaxed co-ords.The added stretch also makes it particularly lovely for trousers and more fitted woven dresses where you'd appreciate a little extra comfort and freedom of movement.

Sewing Notes
Recommended Needle:
fine Universal or Microtex needle, size 70/10 or 80/12
As this is a stretch woven, choose your pattern according to the amount and direction of stretch in the fabric. It can be particularly useful for fitted woven garments where a little extra ease and movement is welcome.
Use a fine Universal or Microtex needle, size 70/10 or 80/12, and a good-quality polyester thread.
Use sharp scissors or a rotary cutter and pattern weights for accurate cutting. Take care not to allow the fabric to hang over the edge of your cutting table, as its weight can pull it out of shape.
Because of the large-scale floral, spend a little time positioning your pattern pieces before cutting so you can decide where you'd like the larger blooms to fall.
