Based in Malmö Sweden, Birgitta Helmersson designs and develops sewing patterns and clothing exclusively using zero waste pattern cutting. A zero waste pattern is designed to eliminate waste by using every part of your fabric, a bit like a puzzle. Instead of working with large paper pattern pieces, this method uses small templates printed on A4/US Letter paper, and instructions to draw your pattern pieces directly onto the fabric. No large scale printing of pattern pieces is required.
